Office and Commercial

With decades of expertise supplying their range of products to multi-award-winning office and commercial properties globally, Frenger’s HVAC products have helped contribute towards projects winning the highest accolades within the industry, which have helped cement Frenger’s status as a trusted HVAC manufacturer. Frenger® designed, manufactured, and supplied the world’s largest Active Multi-Service Chilled Beam project to 55 Baker Street, playing a crucial role in helping to disprove the myth that Chilled Beams cannot be flexible, demonstrated through the use of pre-planned joining infill sections. Throughout the years have supplied some of the most high-profile projects some of which include the Kings Cross Building R7, Riverside House – Ofcom HQ, International House (Sydney AUS), 183-185 Clarence Street (Sydney, AUS) and the Aston Martin Formula 1 Teams new technical headquarters.

Maintaining a constant comfortable thermal environment is widely acknowledged as being one of the key factors effecting workplace comfort and productivity. Providing a comfortable thermal environment for office occupants has the power to help businesses function better, minimising the distraction which can be caused by thermal discomfort. Chilled Beam systems as an office cooling and heating (if required) solution have been embraced for not only their environmental and comfort benefits but also their bespoke design and flexibility when it comes to architectural aesthetics.

Benefits of Thermal Comfort in Offices:

  • • Improved air quality
  • • Increased Productivity
  • • Low Noise / Quiet Operation
  • • Flexibility in office layout and design
  • • Energy efficiency and sustainability

Frenger's Education and Research Product Solutions

Frenger’s Multi-Service Chilled Beams provide all the cooling and heating benefits of a standard Chilled Beam, but also include features such as lighting, PIR sensors, smoke detectors, sprinklers or any other required building service, in a single pre-fabricated unit.

Active Chilled Beams (ACB) units are a water driven cooling and heating unit which are additionally powered by forced ventilation, they are also known as terminal units, fitting easily into the most common ceiling designs or can be fully exposed.

Frenger’s X-Wing is a passive cooling unit but with a considerable radiant absorption quotient. These attractive Chilled Beam elements have four large, elongated surfaces painted black per waterway to provide the most radiant absorbing surface within a given envelope on the market and the shallowest construction depth.

Static cooling systems (chilled ceilings) have, over the past 40 years, proven themselves capable of delivering high levels of occupancy comfort at reduced running costs. Frenger designed, supplied and installed the “Worlds Largest Radiant Chilled Ceiling” system in 1962 to the Shell Oil headquarters. The building was the first fully sealed air-conditioned building in Europe and was revolutionary at its time as it used the River Thames water to cool the building down.

Frenger’s Electric Heating range encompasses Electric Radiant Heating and Air Curtains. Electric Radiant Heaters warm all the rooms surfaces (desks, floor, etc) which in turn heat up the air within a room. Consequently, electric radiant heaters afford an extremely comfortable indoor environment.

Frenger designs, manufactures and supplies a vast array of Radiant Heating Panels suitable for ‘Ceiling Integrated’, ‘Free Hanging’ and ‘Wall Mounted’ projects. Frenger has specifically designed heating products for specific environments such as Sports Halls, Warehouses, Prisons, Hospitals, Offices, Schools and Universities.

In addition to Frenger's Standard Recepto™ MVHR units, which are designed for larger applications, Frenger® can also offer the more compact Recepto Mini Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery which is more suited for smaller and more restricted space applications such as office meeting rooms and / or domestic applications. All 'Recepto™ Mini' models can be Horizontally Mounted for ceiling applications or Vertically Mounted for wall mounted applications to best suit the particular application.
