Frenger® was selected to supply the multi-million-pound (GBP) academic hub development at the prestigious Haberdashers' School for Boys with their Multi-Service Radient Panels (MSRP's) chosen to provide heating, acoustic sound absorption and LED lighting.

Originally dating back to 1960, the Haberdashers' School for Boys is one of the top independent boys' schools in the country with approximately 20% of it's students going on to study at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

The new academic hub is split across two buildings named after former headmasters at the school and will provide state-of-the-art- teaching facilities for all core subjects for pupils aged 4-18.

A key consideration during the design phase was to ensure that the new buildings' interior aesthetic remained consistent with the existing school buildings. Corridors and internal doors were finished in an oak glazing with corridors also featuring an oak timber ceiling.

Using a combination of Radiant Panel and MSCB technology, Frenger's MSRP's are a free hanging radiant heating panel which have integrated LED lighting and acoustic sound absorbing properties. Frenger's MSRP's provide the ideal solution for schools and other education facilities as other services can be incorporated such as sprinkler heads, compartment trunking for other electrical services, apertures for PA and VA speakers and lighting controls.

This also allows architects the opportunity to tailor the MSCB units' aesthetics to compliment the architecture of the building.
